Date: July 21, 2026
Episode: 139
Discussion: Behind the Glass: America's Museum of Witchcraft
About Steven:
Steven Intermill is the director of the Buckland Museum of Witchcraft & Magick in Cleveland, Ohio, where he oversees one of the world's premier collections dedicated to the history of witchcraft, folklore, and the occult. Under his leadership, the museum has become an internationally recognized destination, preserving the legacy of Raymond Buckland, who founded America's first museum of witchcraft in 1966. Drawing on his background in museum operations and historical interpretation, Intermill is dedicated to presenting the collection through an educational lens, helping visitors understand the cultural, historical, and anthropological significance of witchcraft and magick. Through guided tours, public lectures, media appearances, and educational outreach, he continues Buckland's mission of preserving the material culture of the occult while challenging misconceptions surrounding these traditions.
About Toni:
Toni Rotonda is the owner and steward of the Buckland Museum of Witchcraft & Magick and High Priestess of the Temple of Sacrifice, the Ohio-based coven she co-founded with Raymond Buckland. A longtime practitioner of modern witchcraft and one of Buckland's closest friends and students, Rotonda was entrusted with preserving his life's work when he transferred ownership of the museum collection to her in 2015. She spent years restoring, cataloging, and safeguarding hundreds of historic artifacts before establishing the museum's permanent home in Cleveland. Under her stewardship, the Buckland Museum continues to honor Buckland's vision by preserving the history, folklore, and traditions of witchcraft while serving as an educational resource for visitors from around the world.
